Just back from the senior international students & students of color recognition banquet. (I went to a similar one a couple weeks ago, just for women of these groups). And while I am glad that these people have been successful (I know most of them), I am jealous. Why? Because I know that I will never be recognized like this. I get to see a lot my friends honored like this while I sit in the cornered ignored. I'm just another nobody at Hope because I'm the white chick. This is why I have identity issues....
