Not just my class mind you. religion in general.
One of my friends said the otehr week that blind faith is the best faith there is, or something along the lines of that. I'm not sure I totally agree with that. It can be very harmful to believe everything you're told, even if it may come from a minister. If people didn't explore other options, we'd still be owning slaves, working in the kitchen, and having crusades.
On the other hand, if you can't believe everything, can you believe anything at all? What really is the truth in life? How can we trust people? I want to think so. Just- where is that invisble line?
I felt like a bit of an outsider here, not going to church, but I'm so confused right now as to what's right and what I should believe. I've got more questions than anyone can really answer. I just wish there were a simple answer.

I don't get sci-fi channel or GSN here at Hope. I swore my uncle got those channels and he lives in this town also. That means no Beyond Belief and no Celebrity Blakcjack. Or celebrity poker for that matter...don't get Bravo. Which is a real shame because Bravo has some great stuff.

Ok yea yea, my 3rd post today but whatever.
Today, when I went to go meet the international studies major coordinator (he wasn't there so I have an appointment) I saw two girls outside and off to the side a bit talking about something. The interesting thing was that dressed in traditional Muslim wear. Only a screen for the eyes. Needless to say, I was a bit curious as to if this person was a visitor or someone already on campus. You see pictures of people like that on the news and stuff but actually seeing someone like that in person, in the US mind you, is really surreal. Seriously.
