My thoughts? How come nearly everything on this list was released in the last 2-3 months? Does MTV really have that short of memory? (I wouldn't put it past em, but seriously, lets give some credit to the non-summer hits. A number of which were better than some of the junk that made it on here). Oh, and where on earth did Viewer's Choice go?

In all honesty I quit watching the VMAs after Justin's first solo performance (aka after nsync stopped being eligible for nominations). Hey, at least they're not conducting the blasphemy of holding the awards in Miami this year.
