From
livehead16, top 10 songs starting with a certain letter. If you want to do this, comment me and I will pick a letter for you.
Lara has given me the letter D.
In no particular order:
Drops of Jupiter- Train. This is my favorite song by them, and the first song I ever wrote a songfic to. There's so much that it does and doesn't say at the same time. Oh, and it uses an orchestra, which is always a plus.
Don't Cry For Me Argentina- Madonna. There was an upbeat, almost techno version of this song that was released to radio, and I doubt there are few that remember it, but I really liked it. But the version straight from the musical is good as well.
Drowning- Hootie and the Blowfish. Off of the Cracked Rear View album, which was overall a great album. I bought it when I was in 4th grade and I still enjoy listening to it. This song itself is about racism. I also like the chorus with it's drawn out words. (It's hard to explain, but if you''ve heard it, you know what I am talking about.)
Deustchland- Die Prinzen. Anyone who speaks German must listen to this song. Oh, Germans.
Don't You Want Me Baby- Human League. The first song I ever learned all the words to (I was like 6 or something when I learned it). It's classic 80s electronica at it's best.
Dude Looks Like a Lady- Aerosmith. One of those songs that I can't tell you why I like it, but I do.
Digital Get Down- Nsync. When we first learned that JC is a kinky freak. And let's not forget that it also inspired the stage lick.
Don't Turn Around- Ace of Base. My first musical love: Ace of Base. Not as good as The Sign, but still very catchy and fun.
Dizzy- Goo Goo Dolls. Broadway is my favorite off this album, but every song that Johnny Recznik sings on is excellent. This song (as well as Broadway) is a bit angry, and I wish the Goo Goo Dolls would regain just a bit of that anger.
Don't Mean Nothin- Richard Marx. Marx is remembered more for his love songs, but this song proves he can also pull off a good upbeat track.
Honorable Mention:
Dragostea Din Tei Who doesn't like this song?
If anyone wants any of these, feel free to hit me up.
