Just got back from Daughtry in concert. He was playing at the summer celebration in Muskegon, about half an hour away from here. I had nothing better to do, and I like his cd. The concert was $40 to get in, but free to sit outside the fence and hear everything just as well, which is exactly what I did.
I don't know if it was him or just my mood, but I didn't find him all that exciting. And either his mic wasn't turned up all the way or he doesn't know how to hold it right (believe it or not, there is a proper way to hold a mic), b/c I could barely hear him sing half the time.
Couldn't see anything since I was outside the fence, so I can't tell you about his stage presence. He was on American Idol, so if you watched it you'd know. He did keep saying "thank you very much" after every other song, which is usually something you only do at the end of a concert.
I left a little early b/c I didn't want to fight traffic, it was getting chilly, and I just wasn't that into it. Just after I left he started into "It's Not Over"...lovely timing eh? My fav song on the album is "Crashed", which he played first.
I did get some funnel cake though. :D

On a side note, someone has been shooting off fireworks for the last 4 days in a row.
