Went to a Japanese music concert tonight. It was good, though the songs were a little long (I figured around 10 minutes per). It featured three instruments: the shakuhachi (Japanese flute), shamisen, and koto. Most of the music was shakuhachi music, but I like the sound of the koto best. There's really not much you can do with a shamisen, considering it's only got three strings and you pluck it using this thing that looks like a paint scraper.

I definitely felt my eye lids drooping (such is the case when it gets dark in the room), so I needed some caffeine. Stupid pop machines in the hall I usually get my pop at were all sold out. They were sold out last week too. I had to go to another hall and settle for cherry pepsi instead of code red (cherry coke is far better than cherry pepsi, so I usually don't drink cherry pepsi). :P I also could not find a copy of today's newspaper anywhere on campus, which is disappointing. The day doesn't feel complete if I don't get to do the daily puzzles.

Tomorrow looks like an easy day. I've got most of my Islam reading done, and there's no quiz in Japanese. Gives me time to work on the long term stuff, as well as the fun things that still need doing.
