Help!

I can't figure out how to edit text in Paint Shop Pro. All I can do is change the line color (not even the fill). It comes up in a straight line, and won't let me change that either. What do I have to do?

Speaking of icons, I am still looking for/ trying to make a few more. Namely: I need want a Wipeout icon and one that says "80s music owns my soul" with lots of bright neon colors. But I still haven't figured out text on PSP. :P
