Ok so I was on wikipedia looking up American Gladiators and followed a link to GUTS (remember that show? the Agrocrag?). I found this:

In 1992, Backstreet Boy A.J. McLean appeared on GUTS, competing against Amanda "The Accelerator" Bulger and Jamie "The Jackal" Mendelsohn, and finishing with the silver medal.
