puszysty at 04:34pm on 27/05/2008Last night I dreamt that my freshman year of college was a tv show. Complete with musical numbers. And guest appearances by Candace Cameron and Sarah Michelle Gellar.
It is only 50 degrees today. Brrr.
Started at the newspaper today. Sorted mail and spent most of the day verifying checks with renewal slips. I don't have to work with food, yay! And I don't have to stand all day, yay! Tomorrow I get to count the quarters from paper machines (not by hand, there is a machine that does this. I'd take days if I had to count every quarter myself).
I am a wee concerned w/ the McD's situation. Because I have a feeling they still want me 40 hours a week, and that plus 3 days a week at the paper? Not gonna happen. I'm waiting to see what they schedule me for next week, and if it's too nuts, I'll tell them weekends only. I called today and let them I can only do Wednesday if it was evening, and that I don't need 40 hours a week, but if they absolutely need me.. (which was really dumb on my part, but I am not self-assertive, ok?). High school is still in session next week, this week will be the only time they're really gonna need me. Manager will be pissed, but whatever, it's McDonald's. Note to self: be self assertive!
Anywho, the division I'm in is pretty small, only about 5 other people. The maintainence guy shares the office with accounting as well. The people there call me Tuesday, since my desk (I get a desk, yay!) had been labeled with my start day for lack of a name. It makes me feel like I'm on Dragnet, lol. Have I mentioned that I like this job so much better than my other one?
