I just had the worst day at work ever. 300 person dinner, all college professors and staff. My sugar bottomd out in the middle of serving dinner. When that happens, I get emotional, especially if something sets me off. And that definitely happened- I burned my fingers (not like ow hot, like- I need to ice them kind of burn) on the first plates that I served, so my carrier served the rest of my plates for the table, and I'm holding a tray with 8 plates on it (which is really heavy). As I put it down, a plate fell off; the plate didn't break, but food splattered everywhere. I ran off to get a napkin so I don't burn my fingers again and my carrier disappears (he cut his finger trying to catch the plate and needed a band-aid, but I did not know this). So now I'm stuck there standing, near tears, waiting for 2 more tables of food that aren't coming. Someone took care of them for me while I ran off to drink some lemonade so I can get some quick sugar.
I come back in a bit, where one of my tables appears to be done. We have to wait til the whole table is done to pick up plates fyi. As soon as I start picking up plates, one guy who has not touched his plate in the last ten minutes starts picking at it again. So of course I get yelled at for not following rules (Mind you also, my boss has seen most of my mistakes up to this point tonight.. At this point I just lost it. I ran off to a bathroom to get kleenex (tears + allergies = I need kleenex), and the first one is filled with profs, so I had to go to the one in the kitchen. I sat back in the break room eating nuts and drinking something sugary to regain my composure.

Oh and it's pouring and I had left my car window open. For the second night in a row.
