puszysty at 01:00pm on 07/01/2008K, so it isn't really my birthday til Wednesday, but we did the celebrating on Saturday since my brother had to go back to school. He was originally supposed to leave yesterday morning, but all morning flights to/from Detroit were canceled, so he left this morning.
So on Saturday, we had ice cream cake! Cookie dough cake from Culvers. They didn't have anything with carmel, so my dad bought some pour on carmel to go with it.
If y'all recall, I got a PS2 for Christmas. Well, for my birthday I got Guitar Hero 3! The songs are way better than on 2, but it seems a little easier. We spent most of the weekend playing it.
My dad got me two cookbooks- one for stirfry and wok pans, and the other is Chinese, Japanese, and Thai. I had mentioned a few days ago that I really wanted to learn how to cook Japanese food. So now I can make my own tonkatsu and udon and tempura, yum! I'm itching to get at it now. The stirfry and wok cookbook I haven't looked through entirely yet, but it tells you how to make vegetable chips. I love vegetable chips! If you've never tried them, you should, they are way better than potato chips.
On Wednesday I'm headed up to Holland. Still need to get the ok on hosting something at my friends' house.
