Hope College has an acceptance rate of 83%. Not as selective as we all thought, eh? Yet, only 35% of people admitted there choose to go there. Believe it or not, that percent is within the top 50 liberal arts colleges for percent of students who actually went there after applying. Calvin is actually in the top 10, and almost half of everyone who applies there ends up going.
The big well-known U's tend to have a greater percent that actually goes, but that seems to make sense.
