Figured out why I was feeling uncomfortable with the group of people my host hangs out with. They remind me of the people I studied with in Germany. I hope that is not representative of the rest of the students here, because if it is, I will be miserable.

I'm back at my host's apt right now. Just didn't want to sit around while everyone else played beer pong.
