In Mississippi, you can't apply for a marriage license (without parental consent) until you're 21. I have a lot of gripes about MS, but I give them a thumbs up on this one.

In Michigan prior to 2001: "No...idiot...shall be capable of contracting marriage..." Damn. Too bad they never enforced that literally. ;)

In Michigan, you can also obtain a secret marriage if you provide good reason. The only record will be jept by the judge who married you, and is kept sealed. I have no idea what the point of this law would even be.

Unrelated, I read this on My Life Is Nerdy:
Today, in my final exam for my economics class, I had to write a short section about the pros and cons of the gold standard. One of my cons was that a commodity currency rather than a fiat currency lends itself to ruin if the commodity is ever disrupted by a large influx or decrease in quantity such as a large vein of gold being discovered or if all the gold in Fort Knox is stolen by Dr. Horrible and his trans-matter ray.
and my only reaction was that I wish my econ classes could have been that cool.
