Kinda drizzly outside today, and I had to check my email about meeting someone in Rome tomorrow. So here I am again, using up euros.
I must tell you about my morning. In Florence they have this Easter tradition that some people on the train here told me about. First there was a parade of people in traditional Italian costumes, playing drums and bugles, or carrying spears/ something similar. Then some of the men performed with flags- if you watched the Olympic ceremonies, you probably saw some of it. A bit like color guard. It was pretty cool, and the guys were good, even the 10 year olds who did it. Then they had this big cart, like 20 feet tall, that was loaded top to bottom with fireworks. They lit them off starting at the bottom, each tier had something different, took about an hour just to get to the top. It was really quite cool, I've never had an easter like it.
