Trip planning

K here's the deal. I don't care if my mom says it's nuts, I want to go to Texas. But. Since I'd be going alone, I need to find someplace on the low cost to stay. Suggestions? Please?

The youth hostel in Austin, TX is $20 a night if you're planning on staying in that area; website is http://www.hostels.com/en/us.tx.au.html and they accept online bookings ... or for phone #'s of all the hostels in Texas, http://www.hostels.com/en/us.tx.html

Woah, I didn't know Austin had hostels but I guess most cities do? Anyways, if you go anywhere in Texas I suggest Austin. It has more stuff to do and is in general more fun in my opinion.

I have an apartment in Houston that's going unoccupado for weeks on end but there is pretty much zippo to see in Houston.
