I had my first HAPA e board meeting yesterday. I guess I'm back on the board? I don't really know anymore. Frankly, I'm too frustrated with Hope in general to care. The meeting itself was long and quite boring. And I'm really not much in a mood to start planning events that take place in November.
We got to talking about putting on a little skit about stereotypes during one meeting. You know what stereotype I hate? That all white people at Hope College are ignorant fools. Seriously, I'm tired of the assumption that just because I'm white means that I know nothing about other cultures. Well maybe I myself don't get that, but I always hear it, as if I'm not standing there. Us white people aren't the only ones that hold stereotypes.
