My connection has been really slow lately.

What American accent do you have?
Your Result: The Inland North

You may think you speak "Standard English straight out of the dictionary" but when you step away from the Great Lakes you get asked annoying questions like "Are you from Wisconsin?" or "Are you from Chicago?" Chances are you call carbonated drinks "pop."

I can tell you, I have never been asked if I am from either places. I don't call drinking fountains 'bubblers' and Chicago people pronounce 'chocolate' all weird. But yes, I call it pop. Because that's what it is darnit.

lol... I got the same result... except I say "soda" more often than "pop". And by the way... do you think I pronounce "chocolate" weird?

No, but I've heard other Chicago people say it weird.
