puszysty at 12:05am on 12/03/2007I was just reading an article for my fairy tale class about Walt Disney and how he used his movies to 1. exalt himself as master animator 2. root for the underdog 3. reinforce American values/the Protestant work ethic 4. patriarchy.
I never much liked the older Disney movies. I thought that Snow White and Cinderella were wusses. (I still think that. My two favorite disney chicks: Mulan- who showed up a bunch of dudes, and Meg- sarcastic bitch but not made out as evil.) I don't quite understand the cult of Disney and why girls who are my age are still so in love with Disney movies. Not saying it's bad, I just don't get the allure.
So what do you think about Disney movies?

I own almost every Disney animated film. And I have almost every Disney animated film that is on DVD.
And, I own a Cinderella poster.
