conflicted

Part of me is really ready to be done with school. No more essays, no more grades, no more spending all hours of the day studying...

Another part of me feels that I am not ready for the real world. I don't feel mature enough to be an adult yet. and lord knows I am really dreading the job search (that will probably happen more next semester though). You know what else scares me? The fact that I am going to have to figure out how to meet people. I've had to go out and meet people before, I let school do it for me. Very few of my friends are probably going to stick around here, as shitty as the job outlook is in Michigan right now. Really, how does one meet people?

The only place I have ever been able to meet people other than school is church. And work, of course, but that tends to be a different vibe. I'd say find a good church where you end up, even if you're not "religious"... you can get the social interaction and usually opportunities for volunteer stuff too. Not all churches are scary and dogmatic and intolerant.
