Today's event had chocolate covered strawberries on the menu. I ate 2 at lunch. Mmm delicious. Tomorrow is a wedding reception. The last one was fun, so I'm looking forward to it, even though I know it'll be a late night. At the last one, the bridesmaids did karaoke to "God Must Have Spent"...they were awful and it was hilarious. I personally would never hold a reception there because a. the dance floor is like a 15 ft by 15ft square. No joke. and b. It's on Hope's campus which means no liquor.

Speaking of liquor, why is alcohol fun? Seriously.
Drinking and then dancing it off? Fun. Getting a little tipsy and watching boys stick to velcro walls? Fun. (Want to know what I did after going to the bar on my 21st birthday? There ya go.) Euchre + alcohol? Fun.
But like, just sitting around and downing glass after glass? Why is that fun? And drinking so much that you puke your guts out/don't remember what you did last night? Why is that fun? One of my roommates is having her 21st here, and I know they're just all going to sit and drink all night. Sounds lame if you ask me, and obnoxious once people start to get wasted.

with drinking, it's the journey not the destination.

Dancing is usually the end product when I drink but I've had some pretty hilarious convos while drunk, the rambling, non-linear kind. And greasy leftover chinese food will never taste better than after you've been drinking. There are limits and puking is never the goal but hey, sometimes it just happens.

As for sitting around and drinking, I've never done. There's always a card game or something to do. And if there isn't, I usually do the drunk mingle.
