Stupid Alamo had a crappy copy of BSG last night and they had to stop it half an hour in and give us free movie passes because it was so garbled. I'm glad I watched it beforehand, even though I did that only to keep myself from yelling in the theater (there was lots of yelling going on at my house).

My body decided for some ungodly reason that 5 hours of sleep last night was enough. WTF internal clock?

When I woke up, I was still fuming about last night's ep. But I spent a good 15 minutes lying in bed mulling over exactly what was bothering me, then decided to vent my frustrations in fic. The result was Perfection, which is by far the most depressing story I have ever written. I also dare say it's one of the most philosophical things I've ever written, and that includes essays I wrote in college. I think people are going to hate it, but I love what it's done for me in terms of my feelings on things related to the show and ....other stuff.

Today is the second Saturday of SXSW. That means it's officially been 2 years since I came to Austin for the first time. And now I can't imagine being anywhere else at this point in my life- Austin feels right for me for some reason.

Settlers meetup today was boring. I got stuck playing with a rookie 50 year old man again. It sucks the fun out of the game when I have to explain every single play to someone, sometimes the same thing over and over. If you're a fan enough to come to these things, at least know how to play first, grr. Next time I go to a board game meeting, I'm putting my foot down and if someone sits down and says "I don't know this game, explain it to me", I'm getting up and finding another game. I think I've been forever spoiled playing with my friends at Hope or something.

Gah, this weekend has been one big disappointment so far. It's...disappointing.

Headed to SXSW tonight I think. Just gonna wander and see if anything sounds good. Third Eye Blind is playing tonight, but my bets are there's going to be a cover charge for them. I have zero cash, I ought to get some shortly.
