Guess what y'all? I got rearended on my way home from work. I knew it was bound to happen eventually, in the mess they call traffic here. Luckily I was going only about 15 mph, when I braked hard to avoid hitting the person in front of me (I didn't), so it wasn't like there was any impact. Only thing on my car is some grey paint scrapes. I even made the local traffic report.

Say you're a supervisor/manager, and one of your employees comes to you and says they're going back to school. The degree they want to get is one similar to yours. What is your reaction?

There's an immigration law conference in San Antonio in October, and I'd like to go to test the waters and see if immigration law is really what I want to go to school for. I'd like to ask one of the lawyers at work if I would be able to understand the presentations without a law degree, since the lawyers go to conferences by the same organization every now and then, but I'm kind of afraid to ask. I have a bit of a fear of authority figures when it comes to work. And I'm not sure how they'd construe me doing something like this.
