Ok, so after my freakout session last night, I took to hunting for banks I could apply to, as was a suggestion from career services. I found out that Deutsche Bank, Germany's biggest bank, is hiring within the US. and while I'm sure global markets and finance (read: calculating relative exchange rates to see whether certain trade deals will be profitable or not, among other things) sounds awfully boring to most of you, it's definitely something I'd consider doing. And after wasting so much time on the CIS and FBI jobsites on Friday, I was glad to find something I could actually apply for. So now I'm working on a cover letter and a C/V so I can get the app in. My weird major is still probably going to get in the way, but the fact that I can actually speak German has to help, right?
The one thing I couldn't manage to find is where exactly in the US the global markets department works out of. It may or may not be under Corporate Clients branches, but I can't tell.

I don't know if you necessarily need German to work for them in the US, but it should definitely help! Good luck!
