We've finally got the tree up. It was not there when I came home two days ago and that made me sad. Usually we put it up the Saturday after Thanksgiving, but we had relatives here and there wasn't space to do it. But now there is a fully decorated tree up. No garland this year, usually my mom puts it on, but I hate it, so I didn't use it.

Going back up to Holland tomorrow. Since I was late to put in my notice (still was hoping for a place to stay in Holland), I am working tomorrow. I was not about to drive up today, since it is snowing like mad. I don't have to go in til 4 anyway, so it's all good. Also my lenses are already in- they called me Friday and I had just ordered them Thursday. Holy crap that was fast! And I have to retry the whole putting in contact lenses thing. I could not hold my right eye open for the life of me. I gave myself a paper cut on my eye back in 6th grade, so now my eye starts blinking a lot when I go to touch it. It's probably more me being freaked out then anything. I was so frustrated last time that I just left and went to study for my Japanese final later that day.

I love fully decorated Christmas trees. Just looking at ours cheers me up.

When do most people put up their trees over there? Because I can't think of anyone who'd have a tree before the 23rd here, but my friendslist has been talking about trees for weeks already.

Also re contact lenses - glasses get on the way sometimes so contacts would be cool, but I just can't do it. Ewwww.

Mot people here put their trees up shortly after Thanksgiving. We're kinda intense about Christmas in the US.
