If I download a song from itunes, how do I convert it to an mp3? I got an itunes gift card for Christmas, but my mp3 player only supports mp3 files, not whatever format itunes uses. I know there is a "convert" function on itunes, but it didn't seem to work when I tried it before on a song I downloaded, saying I couldn't convert protected songs. Help?

I'm not sure you CAN because it is protected. (though I think others have gotten around it, but I don't know how they did)

The only way I've ever found is to burn it, then reload it on the computer as an MP3 file. :/

Yeah, the only way that I've found to get around it is to burn it and then copy it back to the computer. Just make sure that ITunes isn't the one that is doing the copying back to the computer.

Yep, what they said. I burn it to cd, then rip it back to MP3 using Windows Media Player. You have to set it up to do that though, I think the ripping default is WMA format.
