help!

AAAAAH Help! real player and window's media player won't play my avi videos on this computer! All I get is the audio! They worked fine on my old comp. Is there software I need to install?

In other requests, would anyone happen to have the After the Fire version of Der Kommisar?

You might have to install the divx codec (www.divx.com), depending on your version of media player. Earlier version don't have that, I think.

I have the newest version there is, I just downloaded it a few days ago.

Then I have no idea, sorry.

I installed the codec and it seems to work ok now. Thanks

You probably need a VLC.

It plays Avi files. Google it, there'll be lots of links to download it. It's free. MACs don't play nicely with avi files, but I've downloaded it to both my Powerbook and Larry's PC.

VLC plays pretty much anything. :)

Did you update your codecs? Do the Divx codecs anyway and there's another but I need to look it up. Don't get VLC. It's just another play, which is clutter that you don't necessarily need (unless you don't mind yet another player, lol)

It seems to be working after I installed the codec.

Now I just have to figure out why my computer is not detecting the pictures on my camera. Grrrr.

WEIRD.

I got nuffin for that. I ended up buying an external memory card reader and I put the card in that.

That's fixed now too. Windows was being screwy, but I downloaded the HP software for the camera and pictures are now up. :D

YAY!

Anothe codec that you may want is the Xvid codec. I believe that it also covers the files played by Divx...
