It's not Audacity itself that seems to be slowing my computer down, it's some glich in the file for Never Get Far that is making my computer slow to a crawl. Looks like I'll have to rerecord. Sorry rikes. I am however, very greatful that I don't have to rerecord Closeout. lol.
However, I still have that problem of it saving them as massively huge wav files. Does anyone know of where I can download lame_enc.dll? Or maybe know of some converter that converts from wav to mp3 and shrinks the size to a doable audio file?

Within audacity there's a "save as .mp3" option. That's what I use when I record my segments for slashcast.

Or it might be "export as .mp3" but it's something like that.

I've been trying to do that, but it says it can't without some file called lame_enc.dll

Maybe you need to uninstall and redownload...

Oh. I save mine as massive wavs and then convert using this free program that I've found really easy.
