I am made of fail. Utter, complete, and epic fail.

I've been out of school for 7 months, and you want to know how many interviews I've had? None. Zero. Zip. Nada. Nothing. I sent in apps, I made phone calls, I've applied to close to 100 jobs and have gotten nothing.
The IRS said I was in the first round of interviews, but I haven't heard anything from them since that email, nothing about where or when said interview would even be.

I'm scheduled to move at the end of summer, just because I need out of here, and need to go someplace where there are jobs besides mcdonald's. But since I only make about $150 a week, I don't know if I can ever leave. My mom keeps telling me "oh maybe you can move in x month", which keeps getting moved back later and later and later. You know when I graduated, I had planned to move by March? Clearly you can see where that went.

Also, the whole huge sparkly weekend I've put all that effort into planning? Unless I get a job in September, I can't go, period.

*sigh* I hate my life, you know?

You know where else would be better than working at McDonald's? Starbucks! Every town has one. Also: they actually provide health insurance. And you get an apron. I am considering it myself.

You forget that I live in the middle of nowhere. The closest Starbucks is 45 minutes away.

That's why you need to move!

45 MINUTES? OMG.

I love my Starbucks so I'd freak to be that far. lol

But *big hugs*. I wish I could say or do something to help you! ;-/ But 1. You're not a fail. Lil Mama is fail. 2. JC. Happy thoughts. 3. You could always move to Columbus. :-) *waves*

I don't like coffee, so I'm ok with not having one around. :)

have you thought about the military? they don't just need soldiers. plus they have great benefits and you'd need no saved-up money. and there'd be like an immediate start.

No. I don't want to go to boot camp, and that's a have-to for any military job.

medical staff don't and you don't need qualifications to be a nursing assistant. admin/domestic staff. chaplains.

Is it worth looking at doing something crazy, like working abroad for a charity for six months or something? Get yourself some unique experience instead of being miserable in McDs?

But being without a 'real' job doesn't mean *you* fail. Maybe you don't fit yet, but you will find somewhere that makes going to work a pleasure instead of a penance, eventually, you will.

Possibly? It'd depend largely on where and what kind of charity I think.
