I wouldn't say the dancing is better. It's just different. If you've got a really tight crew, like Kaba or Jabba, hip hop can be mind-blowingly good, and none of the dancers on SYTYCD could do that with that much precision in a group. But likewise, the modern and lyrical dancing on SYTYCD and the partnering work is amazing.

I think it's just a different vibe, especially trying to compare couples to groups. Couples can have a much more emotional connection than you would with a group, and they're often telling really emotional stories. So. I think it's just different. But you can like it better :P
