I'm starting to make myself sick with worry. I know I'm doing the right thing, but I'm still afraid it won't work. I mean, last time I lived over 100 miles from home was a disaster. And that I was only temporary. What if something happens? What if I still can't find a job? I'm not even eligible for unemployment. What if my car breaks down again and I can't afford to get it fixed? What if I run out of money and have to come back home?

And this might sound silly, but I'm afradid that my parents are going to give away the things that I'm leaving here simply because I don't know if I have the room for them. Sentimental things like my photo albums, my books, my nsync things, and few gifts from friends. They're already talking about selling the house.

(((Hugs))) it will be ok. It will. I moved all the way across the country with no job and $800. Six weeks later I was working and I had an apartment. And if your parents sell the house you can have them pack up your stuff and ship it to you, you can put it in storage till you can deal with it. Cross that bridge when you get to it!

Stress is worrying about things you have no control over-- don't mak yourself ill.

Enjoy your last weekend at home and concentrate on having a safe trip! I hope you can check in relatively soon. Once you're on the road, it will be THE MOST exciting thing!

Would you like a popsicle??

I would like a popsicle, thank you. Make that both those.

I hope tomorrow helps.

First off, you will get a job. My friend who does the hiring at his tech support place said he could definitely get you a job. It wouldn't be an awesome job, but a lot of my friends here did it out of college until they found better things, and there will be a lot of people your age there.

Secondly, if something happens to your car, I will teach you how to ride the bus and you can save up to get it fixed :P

Thirdly, your parents aren't going to be able to sell their house in this market, so if they can hold out until Christmas on your things, take an empty suitcase and pack it all up over the holidays.

They're waiting until the third reactor goes up at the nuke plant as far as I can tell (new reactor = new jobs), which might not be for another couple years. But I still freak out about these things.
