Ok, so, yes, it's definitely not Wednesday yet, but the hotel has free wireless so here I am. Tired as hell in Oklahoma City. Oklahoma is a boring state to drive through- nothing but cows. And you can drive for miles on end without seeing a single exit. I though Missouri would be corn, but it turns out we were in the Ozarks all the way across the state, so it was pretty scenery. Tomorrow's drive is the shortest leg yet, which makes me mucho happy. I am tired of driving dammit.

Yesterday wasn't so bad, we ate lunch before we left, and made excellent time to St. Louis. I managed to find Jones soda in way southern Illinois, so I stocked up on my favorite flavor (as many as could fit in my tiny cooler, so I am set for the rest of the trip at least.). Got in at around 5:30 CST, relaxed at my aunt's parents and ate dinner. Whereafter I drove to the mall area to meet [personal profile] solariana, yay!

Didn't sleep so well last night, since ragweed is bad in St. Louis and I had no clue where my benadryl was. Today we left at around 8:30-ish to head downtown STL so my friend could see the arch, and got stuck in traffic for an accident that had already been cleaned up. Gr. But we had enough time to walk around just a bit and see what St. Louis looks like without 10 inches of snow. :) My original prediction when looking on the map was that if we left at 10:30am, we'd make it to OKC around 6:30. Got to the hotel at 6:27, I am GOOD. Introduced my friend to Sonic along the way. I've only eaten there twice, but I am in love with their chili cheese wrap. Sonic's headquarters are actually here in Oklahoma City. Dinner was some really good bbq and very excellent corn on the cob at a place downtown. I've also now tried fried okra- does that make me southern enough yet?

Lucky for me, I don't have to leave this hotel until 9, and the highway I need is right there, so I am going to get plenty of sleep tonight.

I saw the best bumper sticker ever this morning: "Be excellent to each other". Bill and Ted ftw!

YAY! So happy to hear from you! When I drove thru OKC it was about.....11pm and a serious fog rolled in. I couldn't see ANYTHING except a big old Howard Johnson sign. Yeah, that is where I stayed that night. :D I'm glad you have someone with you. I was alone. Four days of driving. Did I mention alone? 18 hours a day. Alone.

There are a lot of Mexican radio stations.

Drive safe tomorrow!

I have my trusty ipod. What is this radio of which you speak? ;)

18 hours a day. Alone. Yea, I would imagine that would suck. A lot.

It was good meeting you! I'm glad you got to see St. Louis without 10" of snow. Probably looked like a whole other place! *G*

I'm glad to hear the trip is going well!
