I'm hoping to respond to the fic discussion, but I'll need to re-read the story first, and I'm *so* close to finishing my [livejournal.com profile] bittybang first draft, I really need to concentrate on that for another day or two first! I like discussion of stories, and I don't want to see this languish.

If my advice on the subject is any use, I'm sure you get the most out of grad school if there's something you passionately *want* to study. I'd recommend struggling on with the work stuff for a while - it may well be that you'll realise what you want to study if you give it time, and when you know that, it'll be worth going.
