There are only so many Austinites daring enough to swim in the dark when the air is slightly colder than the pool. This means that I got a lane all to myself at the pool at Dick Nichols Park, one of the few parks in town that keeps their outdoor swimming pool open year round. Despite the fact that I am really out of shape as far as swimming goes, I feel good after a swim.

It's a 15 minute drive, but Panera is on the way. :) I stopped for dinner tonight, and had my favoritest salad ever, the orchard harvest. Dried cherries, yum.
