There are only so many Austinites daring enough to swim in the dark when the air is slightly colder than the pool. This means that I got a lane all to myself at the pool at Dick Nichols Park, one of the few parks in town that keeps their outdoor swimming pool open year round. Despite the fact that I am really out of shape as far as swimming goes, I feel good after a swim.

It's a 15 minute drive, but Panera is on the way. :) I stopped for dinner tonight, and had my favoritest salad ever, the orchard harvest. Dried cherries, yum.

i like reading your austin related posts, have I told you that yet? lol Dick Nichols! We used to play volleyball there back in the good ol' days. Though I had no idea their pool was open year round!

I'm sure it's interesting being on the other end of "Ooo I found...!" when you know about all this already. Lol. :)

I was doing some hunting for a pool and found out about that one. I guess Mabel Davis (which is closest to me) has a 50 meter pool, but it closes after August.
