When do you put up the tree?
Thanksgiving weekend. I am sad I am not at home for this, I love putting up the tree! I actually just bought myself a tree that is about 3 feet high and has LED fibers in it (no need for lights!), because I can't stand the thought of not having a tree in my house.
When do you take the tree down?
A couple days after Christmas
Do you like egg nog?
No
Favorite gift received as a child?
I can't say my favorite for my entire childhood. I know I had a favorite each year
Hardest person to buy for?
My mom. I always have to prod her multiple times to ask what she wants. Though this year she wants a box of Texas Chewies, which makes it easy. :)
Easiest person to buy for?
My dad is always happy with a gift card to a book store. My brother is the most fun though.
Do you have a nativity scene?
Two of them. One is mine and the other belonged to my mom's grandma.
When I was a kid, my brother and I used to put baby Jesus on the train tracks (of the train that went around our tree). We had a Mr. Potato Head figure that would be 'driving' the train, and a Derek Cope (nascar driver) figure that would save Jesus at the last second. I was a demented little child, I know.

When do you start shopping for Christmas?
It happens inadvertently. I'll see something and go "oh! this works really well for..." and buy it. When I make a point to finish is usually early December, when I buy my Christmas cards. I buy a lot of gifts at Barnes and Noble.
Have you ever recycled a Christmas present?
No.
Favorite thing to eat at Christmas?
Snowman Peeps
Favorite Christmas song?
I tire of traditional songs very easily. I can only listen to Christmas stations like, the day before. So I'll have to say Merry Christmas Happy Holidays.
Travel at Christmas or stay home?
Christmas day is always at home, but we usually go to my aunt patty and uncle don's house at some point. They have the biggest house, so their's it is. Christmas there hasn't been much fun since grandma died five years ago.
Can you name all of Santa's reindeer?
Yes
Angel on the tree top or a star?
My family has an angel, but I'd prefer a star. Maybe I should find one for my little tree
Open the presents Christmas Eve or morning?
Christmas morning. We used to be able to open one present the night before, but that traditional stopped when I was in middle school
Most annoying thing about this time of the year?
The fact that the xmas stuff goes up the minute Halloween is over
Favorite ornament theme or color?
I prefer no theme at all! My tree at home is the most random assortment of ornaments, from ones my brother and I made, to cartoon characters, to sports team or college ornaments, to Bronners things. A tree with bulbs all the same color feels too neat and boring to me.
Favorite for Christmas dinner?
My family just has sandwiches or something for dinner. We like to be really lazy on Christmas.
What do you want for Christmas this year?
A new digital camera, since my current one sucks. Other than that, I don't really know.
