For me, I would say the Oklahoma City bombing, actually. I mean, 9-11 was scary, but I was in school during Oklahoma City. And all during the trial, and sentencing.

The Challenger explosion was pretty awful, too. I was in kindergarten and we were watching it on TV when it happened. So you know, you're 5 years old and you're excited because you're going to watch people go into space. And then, yeah. I'll definitely never forget that.

I was 2 weeks old when Challenger exploded.
All I really remember about OK City was praying for the victims in school mass.

Yeah, I went to public school, so no praying. But I was 14, so it was a pretty big deal to me. I remember coming home from school and my dad had some talk show on, and it was just people calling in to talk about the bombing and what they'd seen. Everyone thought it was a foreign attack. No one thought it would be an American... the trial was really hard. I remember my history teacher, who was a gay leftist hippie, saying, "I don't believe in the death penalty, but Timothy McVeigh deserves to die for what he did."
