(no subject) [puszysty]

I am away from LJ from 2 days and I have to skip 60 on my FL. wow.

Well, for a good chunk of the time I was in Michigan, I kind of wished I was back in Texas. Now that I'm back here, I'm not entirely sure I want to be here either. I dunno. For most of my time in Michigan, I felt like I was on the go, here and there, obligations and such. Course, I'm not working next week, so I'll have that time to relax, but... I had also meant to go through some of my things and figure out if there was anything besides winter clothes that I had room for/wanted to bring back to TX with me. And I didn't get the chance to (well, the one day I had 100% free I spent reading, so, my fault kinda). I don't know when the next time I can get home will be, so I'm just going to have to go from memory. I do want my sweatshirts sent here, since there was not room in my suitcase. Frickin hoodies, they're space hogs and just wouldn't fit with my other long sleeve shirts. Also, I really really wish I had room for a bookshelf.

I'm feeling slightly disappointed by mtyg....not because of the amount of feedback I've had or not had, but because I haven't heard from a lot of people who usually read my stuff. I hope it's just because they're busy, and not because they think it sucks.
On the other hand, I'm glad I gave bsb a try this year, there was lots of good stuff I would've missed!

no. I really don't need or even want a guy right now.

I like it here and I like my roommate. Provided she doesn't want to move, or her boyfriend moves in, I think I'll stay.

I don't really know

run a triathalon! that's really about it

you never know

7. Any trips planned?
not at the moment, no. I'd like to go to Camp Sparkle if I have the money, but it's looking to be too expensive at the moment

I think I have a friend or two getting married this summer, but I can't say for certain.

I'd like a job TYVM

about me? exercise more, but I think that goes hand in hand with the triathalon thing

hm. I didn't think NKOTB would ever reunite. I didn't think California of all places would abolish gay marriage

well I certainly won't be meaner

already 21, not an alcoholic

I can't see myself getting too terribly closer. especially since I live across the country now

you know, I should, but whether it happens or not, I can't say for sure

what, you mean now that decent bars are actually accessible to me now? Come now, I can't live in Austin without going to the bar every now and then

I hope it's better than 2008

besides the triathalon thing again, not that I plan on now

I had a couple friends over, we played games til 3am

I made a resolution to stop reading pairings that don't interest me just because I want to be a Good Fandomer. I figure I will look at the bsb recs lists when I am done with crossovers and take it from there. I know I'm being stupid but it's an internal thing where like... if people are unwilling to read *my* fic because they don't like the pairing, then I think I should be able to hold the same standards! (Even if it makes me feel guilty.) But I decided during bittybang that I need to approach fandom the way I approach life. That is: stop doing things that don't make me happy. And reading Brian/Howie will NOT make me happy :P

As it stands now, there's about...oh, 8-10 I'd say who usually read what I post on my fic journal, and I've only heard from 4.

And you know, nobody's got to read everything. I just thought I'd broaden my horizons a bit from last year.

I read everything last year, and I left feedback for everything last year. And this year I decided... not to. So you know.

Just skip=60 after two days? I shudder to think what my skip # would look like if I was gone for two days.

I think it's just because so many stories are posted at once. It takes real effort to read them all, or even want to. So I wouldn't be disappointed, they're probably read after the reveal when things have slowed down.

True. I wouldn't want anyone to OD on popslash. Though really, if one was to OD on anything, I can think of much worse things. :)

Really, the problem with SeSa is that it takes place at Christmas :-) Personally, I've been visiting family, and then I went on holiday with no net access at all, and it's just been a really bad time for reading anything. One reason we extened to time to the reveal was to try to give people more time to fb, but it's still difficult for a lot of people.

I'm sure that's the case with most people. I just tend to worry more than I probably should. Come to think of it, I think I was freaking out in the same way when remix went live.

We also seem to have got into the mind-set that if you can't send feedback before the reveal, it doesn't count/it's just too late - which is definitely not true!

I haven't had a chance to read all the mtyg stories yet, but so far I haven't even looked at the pairings page, and there have been so many awesome surprises! :)

I read that way this year. It's fun going in blind, and getting some good stuff I probably otherwise would've skipped.
