I went out and picked up some applications at restaurants today to see if I can get a weekend job. Unlikely, since I'm sure there are a lot of people who are available more hours that restaurants could use, but it's worth a shot. HEB hires online (which boggles my mind, quite honestly), and I have applied there as well.

I'm thinking about, if it's possible to keep Austin as my home base, applying as a flight attendant. Not something I'm looking to make a long term career of, but the travel could be fun for a while. And hey, it's $$, right? Yea, nobody's hiring. They're all still crunched from the gas crisis last year, apparently.

In good news, the call center position at ERS opened up again. Yay! I might have a real shot now. Provided no one loses my application again.
