Have you ever gotten a job where you replaced someone who was liked well enough and your presence caused a general feeling a resentment, like "oh I wish so and so was still here?" I feel like that at work right now. :/
I'm thinking about going on a short trip this weekend. Just a day trip, more than likely. I just have this urge to get out of Austin for a bit. Great timing, since I have a 3-day weekend come Saturday (yay for government holidays!). I'm thinking of Corpus Christi- it's 3 hours from here, but if I leave early enough in the morning I'd still have plenty of time to spend there.
I went to a Settler's of Catan meetup this past Sunday. I haven't been overly impressed by meetups previously, as everyone at the ones I've been to tend to be way older than me (think at least 40). But this one was a success! I love Settlers anyway, but this group included a fun bunch who also happened to be close to my age. Some of us are going to try to get together unofficially and play some board games. I have gaming buddies, I'm so excited!

I have to go somewhere too this weekend, but for school. And since we just had an icestorm, well... I'm not sure I'm confident enough in my driving!
