Holy downpour, Batman, it's actually raining. I've never seen it come down this hard. Ten bucks says it'll be over in 10 minutes as usual, though. I think I'll wait before I go to get my laundry out of the dryer.

I'm going to see Star Trek tonight. Woot! There will probably be a short review when I come back.

Rented Bridget Jones' Diary last night. Was not impressed.
Anyone have any recommendations for what I should rent next? I'm always looking to watch good movies I haven't seen yet. Anything good you saw recently? Got a favorite movie you like to watch over and over? Recommend me something! :)

>.< Bridget Jones's Diary is dreadful and the only barely saving grace is the magic that is James Callis. And even he is grating and barely tolerable.

My life long favorites are Apocalypse Now, Blade Runner (especially if you can find the very latest remastered edition), Some Like It Hot and Sunset Boulevard. I could go on all day. For recent movies I've seen and like, Lars and the Real Girl was something I watched recently and really fell in love with.

Am glad you liked Star Trek though. Wasn't it precious?

My Star Trek ticket is for 7pm tonight. Haven't seen it just yet! :)

Thanks for the recs. I did manage to watch Apocolypse Now after finishing the vietnam fic. I found the end bizarre, but enjoyed the rest of it.

Oo. I'm glad you enjoyed it. I find its one of those things that sits with you and gets better over time.

Amen, sista! I totally woke up early today, planning to sit by the pool before I had to get started on my day. I was very saddened to way up and not see the sun. :(

If you wanna see a movie with lots of UT and Austin sites, and mucho Longhorn love, you should rent Man of the House - the one with Tommy Lee Jones, not JTT. I effing LOVE that movie [other people think I'm crazy] but I think there's lots of funny bits in it, and you get to see lots of Austin. Other than that, one of my other all-time favorites is The Saint with Val Kilmer.

All my other movie choices are lame. So I'm gonna leave it at that. :)
