Hung my autographed Colonel Tigh photo at work today, but no one noticed. :( Apparently while I was gone, some of the paralegals were trying to guess what I might be dressed up as. Someone thought I might have went as a Powerpuff Girl. lol

Nothing exciting happened prior to the panel (well, except while in line, [personal profile] blue_crow aka Jeanne for the day handed a Baltar flyer to a Roslin, who tore it up in response), so we shall start there!

Aaron Douglas crashed this panel with "Hi, over here, I was wondering if you could talk about this actor Aaron Douglas. He's yound and skinny." Well, something like that anyway.
Kate Vernon was so out of it. Everyone teased her about it, especially when she mucked up the names of her own pets. (kinda want to smack the person who asked that dumb question)
AJ said he was thinking about getting a turtle for lawn maintenance.
When asked what sort of plotline he saw if Gaeta had been a cylon, and his immediate answer was to ask if he could've shot Trucco.
I think this was also the panel where he got asked the "Gaeta: Hero or Villain?" question, to which he responded "Hero, definitely. A tragic hero (something I can't remember)".
Luciana got a call in the middle of this panel.
Mary talked about how the women of Galactica were really alone, and there was no female solidarity like there was among the males. I know I've heard this talked about before on my FL, but hearing Mary McDonald say it really drives the point home.
The Tigh/Adama relationship has officially been declared a bromance.
Someone asked the panel what their favorite line was, which I have to say was an excellent question. People's answers:
Aaron: some of the ad-libbed stuff like "You can sleep when you're dead."
Trucco: "Relax, it's only the end of the world."
Mary: "I'm coming for you all!"
Kate...I forget
Luciana: "Hey Starbuck, my cup runneth dry."
Hogan: "It's in the frakking ship!"
AJ: "And with enough ambrosia...it doesn't hurt so much." (complete with shirt tugging action)

um, that's about all I can recall of this one.
After that, the Squee Squad headed downstairs for a picture with AJ, which apparently got stolen later that night
Lunch at the mall food court (this quickly becomes a theme), then I poked around one of the other dealer rooms until I went to get in line for the Adam Savage panel.
While in line, the guy in back of me showed us his pictures from the parade. There were some really great costumes I didn't see, like a very intricate Isis and Inubis, and a car adorned with a Dalek. Jedi Clampett was a few people behind me. They filtered in the line really strangely, filling in the middle section before the sides, so some people who were way back in line got front row seats while those like me got stuck in the back. It being just Adam though, there really wasn't much to actually see like at the BSG panels.
Adam started out with a 100 wishes list, some of which were serious and touching (like wanting to go sailing with his wife, wishing his kids get jobs they love, stuff like that) and some of it amusing (like wanting Chewie as his copilot, wanting a blaster gun, etc.). Then he took questions, most of which were about myths- like "whats your favorite explosive?" (blackpowder) "explosion?" (water heater) "most fun to bust?" (lead balloon) "toughest to bust?" (plane on a conveyor belt). But also some other stuff, like whether he reads sci-fi (yes).
He mentioned that he was going around the Con in costume- which I find completely and utterly awesome that one of the celebs would do that- and was taking guesses on his twitter page. I checked his twitter as soon as I got home and found out that he was a wookie. Not the one at the Fleet Party though. Here's the picture. Yeah. Pretty much awesome.
He's about as highly entertaining as on television. I enjoyed that panel greatly.

A quick run to Subway (oh seafood! How I have missed thee! It is a CRIME that it's not available in Texas), and back to the hotel for the [community profile] gaeta_squee party! We watched [personal profile] blue_crow's documentary and sat and chatted for like 4 hours. Well, more than that, I suppose, since I got there late, what with Adam Savage running 20 minutes over. Not that I'm complaining. He had declared early that nothing was happening in that room until the party, so he was going to take all the time everyone wanted.

After that, [personal profile] blue_crow, [personal profile] blaaksable, [personal profile] millari, and I went to the Fleet Party. There was a line to get in, which really wasn't too bad considering it moved faster than panel lines, and we got to watch [personal profile] blue_crow proselythize to anyone in costume. :) The party wasn't much to speak of, though I can now officially declare that I remember the Thriller dance nearly an entire year later.

Next post: Sunday!
