Watching the episode of Cold Case with Jamie Bamber. He's the dead person. He plays a reformed Vietnam protestor who becomes a yuppie in the 80s. Lee Adama would make the perfect yuppie.

Jack standing up for rights and democracy...gee, that seems familiar.

AHAHAHA omg. The very first flashback scene... so the thing with Cold Case is to use popular songs as the backdrop for their flashbacks, usually from the year the crime took place, but othertimes things that just fit, like John Mellencamp for the steelworker episode.
Anyway.
The song that is playing in the first flashback for this episode w/ Bamber? Is All Along the Watchtower.
Excuse me while I die laughing.

HA!

When I went to see Watchmen, I sang along at the end. It's Bear McCreary's fault!

(not that I can resent him for it, because he's BEAR. He pwns at music.)

Also? Bamber is too cut to be a hippie. IJS.

He is too cut to be a hippie. He's good at the grandiose speeches though.

Heeee, I've always wanted to see this! Sometimes when a "Cold Case" rerun is on, I check the description to see if it sounds like the Bamber episode. :)

Sackoff and Witwer were in eps too (oddly enough, Sackoff also plays a hippie). I can probably get this one to you.

Had to be intentional. HAD TO BE. I mean unless they filmed it before that was added to BSG or something. I mean, I know the Callis ep of Numbers was after BSG and there is no way they didn't cast him because of his role in BSG. Because why else would you pick a skinny Englishman to play Charles Manson? Likewise here. It makes me feel like someone just really wanted to make a BSG joke by casting him.

Oh Lee. I can't help but picture him as a lawyer here too.

I do wish the Helfer Sheppard CSI episode was a better inside joke though.

All the songs in that ep are Bob Dylan songs, and I believed it was filmed before the song showed up in BSG, so...a hilarious coincidence. As for do the right thing Lee Frank, I'm sure the reason he got cast.
