I do this every year, and it may be a little early, but what the hell.

Step One:
- Make a post (public, friendslocked, filtered...whatever you're comfortable with) to your LJ. The post should contain your list of 10 holiday wishes. The wishes can be anything at all, from simple and fandom-related ("I'd love a Josh Wyman icon that's just for me") to medium ("I wish for ____ on DVD") to really big ("All I want for Christmas is a new car/computer/house/TV.") The important thing is, make sure these wishes are things you really, truly want.

- If you wish for real life things (not fics or icons), make sure you include some sort of contact info in your post, whether it's your address or just your email address where Santa (or one of his elves) could get in touch with you. [Note: Your home address is not required!]

- Also, make sure you post some version of these guidelines in your LJ.

Step Two:
- Surf around your friendslist (or friendsfriends, or just random journals) to see who has posted their list. And now here's the important part:

- If you see a wish you can grant, and it's in your heart to do so, make someone's wish come true. Sometimes someone's trash is another's treasure, and if you have a leather jacket you don't want or a gift certificate you won't use--or even know where you could get someone's dream purebred Basset Hound for free--do it.

You needn't spend money on these wishes unless you want to. The point isn't to put people out, it's to provide everyone a chance to be someone else's holiday elf--to spread the joy. Gifts can be made anonymously or not--it's your call.

There are no guarantees with this project, and no strings attached. Just...wish, and it might come true. Give, and you might receive. And you'll have the joy of knowing you made someone's holiday special.


1. To score really well on the LSATs. Nothing anyone here can do about that one, I know, but it's really my #1 wish for the moment.

2. Art for DUFE/FUOT. I had to pull out of bigbang because I was too eager to post FUOT, but I'd still really like art for one of these stories.

3. The next Strachey movie. There's supposed to be 2 more, right?

4. More icon slots would be nice.

5. Someone to write the prompt I submitted for sweetest day. Gaeta/Hoshi- crack in the dark. Which can mean whatever you want it to mean, I left it vague for a reason. (If anyone wants the full lyric, it's "Don't be afraid when you're falling apart, don't hesitate I'll be right where you are, open your eyes there's a crack in the dark")

6. Speaking of sweetest day, I'd like for someone to read the prompt I wrote. I ventured into a fandom I've never written before, and the prompter never bothered to leave me feedback. Grrrr.

7. Picspam! Of whatever you want, I just haven't seen any good picspams on my FL lately. JC's worst most awesomely insane outfits, every time Felix says "DRADIS contact", cute fluffy bunnies, whatever.

8. I don't know how my FL is with graphics, but a BSG banner to go along with my JC banner would be cool for my profile page.

9. This sounds silly, but I'd like to meet more of my FL in person. I enjoy meeting LJ people. I'm sure the only person I could reasonably meet soon is tin_o_biscuits, which is why this wish is kinda silly. But if anyone is ever in Texas, let me know!

10. To be able to go to Camp Sparkle next year.
