Underwent Operation: Get parents hooked on BSG. I brought home the mini-series and made them both watch it. Dad liked it, mom likes male!Starbuck better. I guess they're both familiar with the 70's version.

I wasn't that familiar with the seventies version, but female Starbuck took a while to hook me as well. Actually, I think 33 hooked me into BSG better than the miniseries did. 33 was awesome :)
