In which Stephanie whines

Well damn. I'm getting application fee waivers left and right. One of the schools that offered me one is Pepperdine...to which I already applied and submitted the application fee. :/

They are saying that it may get down to 20 degrees on Thursday. They're also talking about snow again.

My retirement contributions are going up, thanks to a legislative mandate. It's a good thing I get all that back and then some, otherwise I would not be happy. That's my New Zealand money, darnit!

Ok, the reason I'm whiny? It's my birthday on Saturday, and I know I'm going to be spending it entirely alone. There's a Settlers meetup that day, but there are a couple people in that group I just can't stand, and I don't want to spend my birthday annoyed. We have monthly birthday celebrations at work with food, though I just can't shake the feeling that whoever is organizing is gonna show up with a chocolate cake. *sigh*

What kind of cake would you prefer to chocolate? (I know you're not a fan, but I forget what it is your weakness is. Was it caramel? Or something else?)

Anything but chocolate really. I have a non-chocolate sweet tooth.
Cheesecake. Cheesecake is nice.
Caramel is good too.

Why, you planning on mailing me something? ;)

Why not let people know at work that you're not fond of chocolate? Maybe ask one of the social butterflies to recommend a good place for a birthday outing that has good non-chocolate desserts, and let them spread the word?

I've already mentioned a few times that I don't like chocolate. That didn't seem to stop my desk being covered in chocolate offerings for Christmas.
