Funny how that stuff changes... when I was a kid we used to love blackouts. Come to think of it, I still do... but I know many many people who don't. For all the reasons you listed. :-)

I loved them as a kid too. It was an excuse to do all sorts of crazy things with my brother. Living alone, not so much fun.
