4. Valkyrie (I know this came out in 2008, but I didn't see it until 2009, so...it counts).

While legal precedents is an interesting choice, I just don't know any besides the ones everyone knows. I'd have a better answer in a year.

(in no particular order)
Teutonic War
Civil War
WWII (cliche, but it's very interesting to study)
Napoleonic Wars (because France deserves an ass kicking every now and then ;))
and uh...War of the Roses...just because it's obscure and started over a clan rivalry, in a sense
