I went to a party last night. I'm in college, I had to go to one sometime or another. Needless to say, it wasn't all its cracked up to be. 1. I really didn't know anyone there except the group I came with and the person who threw the party. I think most of the people there were members of BSU (black student union) so my roommate knew a lot of them, but I felt a little awkward. 2. The email I got said 'alcohol will not be served at this party' which I guess means 'bring your own bottle'. I do not drink, and did not last night, but I will definitely have to remember next time I see that written what that means. That also kind of ties into number 3. it was technically a dance party, but there really wasn't that much dancing. granted yes, I could have danced by myself had I wanted to, but like I said, I felt awkward. I did dance a bit last night, just not as much as I was expecting to.
But hey, I have the experience now, so I know what these things are like.
