I'm riffling through The Gay & Lesbian Review (there were some interesting looking articles on the Obama administration, though I haven't gotten there yet. If there's anything worth noting, I'll post later). In here there's an obit in here for Mary Daly. It has her listed as having attended the University of Freiburg in Switzerland.

Um. Unless Freiburg up and moved itself prior to the five months I spent there, I think they got the country wrong.

Odd they would use the German name for a French-Swiss town/uni though.

Ahh, but German is also one of the official languages of Switzerland, therefore, using the German name makes sense. The writer of the article probably could have specified a little better though.
